Greetings, foul friends!
The sun has been unusually high in the sky for the past few weeks, so we’ve had to break out the Factor 5,000 sunblock for the vampires. And they’ve moaned incessantly about it.
The vampire is a strange creature; they’ve had you mortals shaking in your shoes for centuries, for fear of them draining your blood and turning you into one of the undead. All you have to do is slap a bit of sun cream on them, and they’ll forget you instantly, preferring to focus their attention on finding the nearest handkerchief to wipe it off.
They don’t seem quite so scary now, do they?
Regardless of their whining, they are fantastic distillers, and they’re an integral part of the Black Lodge team. With that being said, let us tell you where you can enjoy the fruits of their labour this month.
EVENTS
As you flesh bags seek to make the most of having the sun out, we’re at no fewer than four different food and drink festivals this month. We prefer the dank, decay, and musk of a waterlogged cellar, but for the chance to be at a Eurovision festival, we’ll put up with it.
In preparation, the minotaurs have had their sequin jackets steam cleaned, and our black cats have been meeting every night on the Lodge’s rickety fences to practice their harmony singing, much to the villagers’ (dis)pleasure.

BLACK LODGE POTIONS GIN OUT IN THE WILD
Last month, we asked you to tell us which venues you’d like to see Black Lodge Potions being served in. And you responded, in droves, so thank you to everyone who got in touch. If they hadn’t already turned to dust centuries ago, we’d have a glad feeling in our collective hearts.
As of next month, we’d like to start highlighting these venues, so if you need to slake your thirst and only a Black Lodge Potions gin will quench it, you’ll know where to go.

UNTIL NEXT TIME…
Well, mortals, it’s been fun, but work must intrude. The werewolves need to be bathed and brushed, the mummies need to get themselves together (quite literally) to start their shift in the distillery, Brother G is trying to get sunblock out of Great Uncle Vlad’s eye, and Brother T has got to sew missing sequins onto Asterion the Minotaur’s jacket. Apparently, he’s got himself a few shifts as the halftime act at the local bingo hall.
