June News 2025
Greetings, foul friends!
2025 is officially halfway over, and on the 21st of the month, it’s the summer solstice. After the 21st, the days will officially start to get shorter, the nights will be darker, and the weather will start to deteriorate slowly.
Marvellous news, don’t you agree?!
Of course, the 21st is also when our druid friends head to Stonehenge for their annual pilgrimage. This involves honouring the sun’s journey, the cycle of life, and the connection between the natural world and the spiritual realm. We say this, but last year, the druids never made it out of the local pub because they had Black Lodge Potions Stinging Nettle and Honey gin behind the bar, a rare treat instead of their usual mead. Bodhmall and Cathbad woke up in Paris the next day, with only a packet of dry-roasted peanuts and a llama as clues to their journey. Safe to say, they’re on the tap water this year.
But enough of this idle chatter! We know you worms don’t come here for that! You want to know what’s happening in the world of The Lodge, where you can sample our gins for free, don’t you?
Well, want no more, freaks!

MUSIC FESTIVALS
There are quite a few music festivals happening this month. Download is back at Donnington Park, Hyde Park in London will be shaking with revellers, The Isle of Wight festival is now in its 57th year, and Glastonbury is back in, erm, Glastonbury. Whether you’ll be there, in person, and living in filth for a few days (we approve), or just watching the coverage from the comfort of your armchair at home, a tipple or two of the finest small batch flavoured gin on the planet can make it even more enjoyable.
So make sure you order yours before you sit down in your camp chair/puddle/bucket/sofa. You can get all five delicious flavours from The Spirit Shop, or with your regular Amazon orders.

EVENTS
We’re out on the road again for another round of festivals and events. Come along, sample some award-winning Black Lodge Potions handcrafted gin, take some home to enjoy, and meet the staff (please be careful around Stanislav; the poor creature broke one of his teeth on an amulet the villager he was devouring at the time was wearing, and he’s been insufferable to be around ever since).

RAF COSFORD AIR SHOW
Sunday 8th June
This isn’t just any event. The RAF Cosford Air Show is a thunderous spectacle of flight, firepower, and finely waxed moustaches. Tens of thousands of people descend on the airfield each year to witness everything from vintage Spitfires to the cutting edge of British aviation — and this year, they’ll also bear witness to something even rarer… Black Lodge Potions in the flesh (well, gin form).
Yes, creatures of the sky will soar overhead — and creatures of the night (that’s us) will be peddling potions on the ground. We’ll be there all day with our full range of flavoured gin, ready for you to sniff, sip, and swoon over.
It’s one of our biggest shows of the year, so if you’ve ever wanted to taste our range before committing your soul (or debit card), now’s the time. Come for the jets, stay for the juniper.
Stanislav won’t be flying — that would be a war crime — but he will be on hand to offer samples and perhaps gnaw on the occasional aircraft mechanic. Fair trade, we say.

UNTIL NEXT TIME…
It’s been intolerable (sorry, we mean fun) speaking with you again, humans. We apologise for such a short entry, but the summer months are our busiest time. Why, if we stood around shooting the breeze with you all day, then we wouldn’t have time to create the gin you love so much!
Plus, we’ve just found a pickled druid from last year in a cask of stinging nettle and honey gin, so we’re going to be up all night straining out the bits of straw and llama hair.
Honestly, who’d be a distiller?!
Stay spooky,
Brother G and Brother T
